Description

A windmill, dating from the late 18th century, is situated on Harbury Mill Lane. The lower section of the windmill is constructed of regular coursed limestone, while the upper section is built of English bond brick. The roof, which was undergoing reconstruction at the time of the resurvey, features weatherboarded gables. The windmill has a tapering circular plan and stands six stories high. A 20th-century half-glazed door is present. A half-glazed stable loading door, set within a brick segmental arch, is located between the ground and first floors on the left side. Windows are found on the first and second floors within moulded stone openings. Round-arched windows are present on the upper floors, although some are blocked. The reconstructed gable has two openings, with similar openings appearing throughout the structure. The interior has not been inspected.
