Description

This is a stone house with a rear wing dating from the early to mid 17th century, and a front range built in the late 17th or early 18th century. The front range is constructed from regular coursed limestone, while the rear wing is timber-framed with tension braces set on a stone plinth, with whitewashed brick infill and some underbuilding. Both sections have tile roofs, and brick end stacks, with the left-hand stack largely removed. The house is arranged in an L-shape, with the wing set to the right rear.

The two-storey, three-window front range has a mid-20th century glazed door, protected by a late 19th or 20th-century gabled timber hood supported on brackets. The windows are late 20th-century casements and top-hung first-floor windows, with wooden lintels. A two-light leaded casement window is located on the left return side, in the attic. The lower wing incorporates an old three-light first-floor casement and 20th-century replacement windows. The rear wing features jowled posts and 19th-century two-light casements. The interior is said to contain an inglenook fireplace and a bread oven.
