Description

The Quaker Coffee House is a low, two-storey house dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century, located on the north side of Mechanics' Yard. It features a very high pitched roof that has been renewed with modern ridged tiles and has end chimneys that are partly rebuilt. The front is finished in modern stucco with incised lines. The house has sash windows, most of which include glazing bars, and there are two horizontal sliding sash windows on the first floor. The entrance is marked by a four-panel door set within a modern surround.
