Description

17 and 18 High Row is a three-storey building with a three-window front that has the appearance of being from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of old irregular red brick and features a stone cornice band and a pediment cornice. There is a blocked lunette in the pediment. All windows have gauged brick flat arches and stone cills. The original sash windows, which included glazing bars, have been replaced and feature wood architraves. The first-floor windows have been shortened to fit high modern shop fronts. The entrance to Black Lion (or Buckton's) Yard is located in the center of the building.
