Description
The Presbytery is a late 19th-century building located on Coniscliffe Road in Darlington. It is constructed of red brick with ashlar dressings and features a 20th-century concrete tile roof. The roof has overhanging eaves supported by sets of triple brackets and includes two gable stacks. The building is two stories high and consists of five bays.
The central entrance has a round-headed doorway with double panel doors, framed by an elaborate ashlar surround that includes plasterwork, a keystone, and a flat hood. On either side of the doorway are two plain sash windows, each with moulded ashlar eared and shouldered surrounds, segment heads, keystones, and small brackets beneath the sills. Above, there are five additional plain sash windows, also with moulded ashlar surrounds and small brackets under the cills. This building is included in the register for its group value.
