Description
No. 21 is an end-of-terrace house located on the south side of Coniscliffe Road, dating from the early to mid-19th century. The house is two storeys tall with a basement and features five windows. It is constructed of pinkish brick and has a moderately pitched slated roof. The recessed sash windows have stone cills and lintels. Access to the house is via six steps leading to a four-panel door, which is topped with a cornice head and a patterned oblong fanlight, all set within a Doric doorcase that includes fluted engaged columns. The property is also adorned with wrought iron hand and area railings, which have urn finials at intervals.
