Description

The walls of the Friends Meeting House, located around the south-west corner of the Quaker Burial Ground, date from the late 17th century. They are constructed from large, roughly coursed sandstone rubble and feature a flat stone coping. There are entrance doorways on the west side, which are blocked, and on the south side, both of which have large quoins and single segment-arched stone lintels. These doorways are set in recesses, and the coping along with the top courses of the wall continues above them.
