Description

The Bromley Arms Public House is a late 18th-century building that has undergone some 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of red brick, which is painted white, and features a slate roof with two red brick gable stacks and dentil eaves. The building is set on a plinth and has two and a half storeys with four bays.

The main entrance consists of a doorway with an arched 20th-century part-glazed and plank door, flanked by single arched marginal lights with plank panelling beneath, creating a round arch. The doorway is adorned with an architrave that includes keyblocks, and above it is a 20th-century gabled hood covered with plain tiles. To the left of the entrance are two sash windows situated under segmental arches with flush wedge brick lintels, while to the right is a single similar sash under a segmental arch, flanked by two smaller sashes.

On the upper level, there are four sash windows, with the second from the right being lower than the others, all under segmental arches with flush wedge brick lintels. Above these, there are four small sash windows.

To the right of the main structure is a later addition, a two-storey, single-bay wing made of painted brick, featuring a hipped pantile roof and dogtooth eaves. This wing is also set on a plinth and includes a single sash window under a segmental arch with a flush wedge brick lintel, along with a small sash window above. All the sashes have boxed frames. The rear of the building contains various two and single-storey wings.
