Description
The Pigeoncote at Manor Farm is a late 17th-century structure made of red brick. It features a plain tile pyramidal roof, which is topped by a wooden and felt glover also with a pyramidal roof and a single damaged orb finial. The building stands on a rubble plinth and has rusticated brick quoins. It is two storeys high, plus an attic, and consists of a single bay.
The first floor has a band of dogtooth brickwork between raised brick bands. The south wall includes a central doorway with a plank door and a glazing bar overlight that interrupts the band. Above this is a small doorway with another plank door. There are two tie plates visible on the exterior.
Attached to the left side is a low, single-storey outbuilding from the 19th century, constructed of red brick and covered with pantiles, which also has a doorway with a plank door. The east wall of the pigeoncote has one tie plate, while the west wall features a single glazing bar fixed light and another tie plate. The north wall contains a glazing bar fixed light in a former blocked doorway and two tie plates. Inside, there are some dismantled wooden nesting boxes and flaps.
