Description

Rose Cottage is an early 18th-century cottage located on the east side of Main Street in Fiskerton-cum-Morton. The cottage is constructed of red brick, with the ground floor rendered. It has a pantile roof, with a red brick stack to the right gable. The left gable is raised and brick-coped with a kneeler, and features dentil eaves. The building is two storeys high and has two bays. A first-floor band runs along the front. A 20th-century gabled porch with a part-glazed door is set into the left gable. To the right of the porch is a single-pane Yorkshire sash window on the ground floor, with a similar sash window above. Bands of dentil brickwork are visible between bands of raised brickwork at eaves level in both gables. Attached to the rear are 20th-century extensions that are not considered to be of architectural significance.
