Description
The Mill at Mill Farm is a late 18th-century mill, attached granary, and bridge located on Mill Farm Lane. It is constructed of red brick and features pantile roofs. The mill has raised eaves, an external right gable stack, and stands two storeys high with a basement and garret, comprising three bays. The main entrance includes a double plank door set beneath a segmental arch, flanked by single glazing bar Yorkshire sashes also under segmental arches. To the right, there is another doorway with a wooden door beneath a segmental arch, and above it are a single glazing bar Yorkshire sash and another Yorkshire sash, both under segmental arches.
Adjacent to the mill is a single storey plus garret granary with three bays and dentil eaves. It features a doorway with a plank door, a smaller doorway with a plank door under a segmental arch to the right, and a single tripartite glazing bar Yorkshire sash in a former arched doorway to the left. In front of the mill and granary is a bridge with a 20th-century brick and concrete parapet. The interior of the mill contains part of the wooden wheel, a set of grey stones, a set of French stones, and some of the gearing for driving the wheel and hoist.
