Description

This milestone, dating from the 18th century, is located about 5 metres south of the junction with Newcastle Road in Neville's Cross, Durham. It is made of sandstone and stands approximately 0.5 metres high, featuring a low, curved pyramidal top. The east face of the stone is inscribed with the words 'To Willing/ton'.
