STANHOPE B6278 (East side,off) NY 94 SE NY 993404 Stanhope 11/141 Hog Hill Tunnel north entrance

Railway tunnel entrance arch. 1832-3 by T.E. Harrison, with R. Stephenson as consultant engineer, for Stanhope and Tyne Railroad Company. Sandstone rubble, rendered in places. High retaining wall contains segmental arch with voussoirs. Some facing stones missing at time of survey.
