Description

No. 28 Galgate is an early 19th-century house that has been converted into a shop and storage space. The exterior features painted rough render with painted ashlar dressings, and the roof is covered with stone slates, complete with stone ridges and chimneys. The building is two storeys high and has a three-window range. The ground floor has a nearly full-width late 20th-century shop front, with a door on the right and a high full-width fascia board. The upper floors have 4-pane sash windows, with the second floor windows set lower in projecting stone surrounds, and these are positioned against an eaves band. The roof is finished with end chimneys. The interior has not been inspected.
