Description
The building is a coach house with a range of loose boxes attached to the right, located 10 meters north of The Cottage. It dates from the mid-19th century and has undergone some 20th-century alterations. The structure is made of sandstone rubble with dressed quoins and some brick infill, featuring a stuccoed front and renewed pantiled roofs.
The coach house is two stories high and has five bays. The irregular ground floor includes 20th-century doors set under raised segmental arches that are scored to imitate brickwork. To the left of center, there is a Dutch door, a part-glazed hit-and-miss window, a narrow 5-pane light, and a boarded door with a 4-pane overlight. To the right, there is a 20th-century garage door and a pair of doors under a raised segmental coach arch.
The first floor is symmetrical, featuring identical segmental window heads, two boarded openings, and three 4-pane sash windows. The low-pitched hipped roof has slightly swept eaves. The single-storey range of loose boxes has three bays, with a 20th-century Dutch door in the left bay. Additions to the left of the coach house are not of special interest. The building is included for its group value.
