Description
The gate towers and walls on the west side of the stable yard, located 15 meters north of Castle Eden, date from the early 19th century and are designed in the Gothick style. They are constructed from partly-rendered limestone rubble. The two square-plan gate towers flank the west entrance to the stable yard and feature a chamfered mid-wall band with blank quatrefoils below, along with small cross loops and battlements above. The embattled wall, which is attached to the north, shares similar architectural details and has a canted north-west corner. These structures are included for their group value. The lean-to buildings within the stable yard are not of special interest.
