Milestone located in front of Willowfield, likely from the mid-18th century. It is a tapered square sandstone block with a pointed rounded top. The milestone is painted white, with black-painted incised letters indicating "BC 1" on the east side for Barnard Castle and "D 14" on the west side for Darlington.
