Description

The garden walls in front of Townfield Cottages were built around 1863 by S.S. Teulon for Rev. Daniel Capper. They are made of dry sandstone rubble with stone flag jambs and stand about 80 cm high. The walls feature round coping and enclose the front of the cottages, curving around the north side of the gardens. Each house has round-topped stone flag gate jambs and wooden gates.
