Description
The outhouses located to the north of numbers 4, 5, and 6 on Eggleston Prospect Terrace are a Grade II listed structure. These outbuildings serve the three eastern houses of the terrace and are constructed from coursed sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings, topped with a stone-flagged roof.
The main outbuilding, which is two stories tall and has two bays, is associated with No. 6. It features a one-story, one-bay pent extension on the left side, along with a one-story range located behind Nos. 5 and 4. The structure has flat stone lintels above three boarded doors and three small square boarded hatches. There are also similar lintels over two fixed lights on the first floor, which have metal glazing bars. A stone chimney is positioned at the north-east corner of the roof of the two-story section.
The extension to No. 6 includes paired candle recesses, which are likely re-set, and there is a 20th-century garage door that has been inserted. The outhouses are included in the listing for their group value with the adjacent houses.
