Description

A row of outhouses, likely wash-houses, dating to approximately 1800, stands about 3 metres behind numbers 3 to 10 Golgotha. The outhouses are constructed from uncoursed sandstone rubble, with some areas painted white, and have a roof of stone slate. They form a long, rectangular shape running parallel to the row of cottages. The buildings are a single storey in height and have plain doorways and small, square windows. Slender iron brackets support the guttering. Ridge chimneys are present, one notably tall but largely cut down. The outhouses represent a good and early example of detached service accommodation associated with working-class housing. They are included in the listing for their group value.
