Description
The Green is a house located in Eggleston, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone and features a plinth, quoins, and ashlar dressings. The roof is stone-flagged with stone gable copings and a stone ridge. The building has two storeys and two bays. On the right side, there is a six-panel door with a tooled flat stone surround, and above it, a twelve-pane sash window. The left bay contains tripartite sashes with glazing bars, all featuring flat stone lintels and sills. The gable coping of the roof rests on cyma recta and reversa moulded kneelers, and there are banded end chimneys.
