Description

The chimney of the engine house at Sikehead Lead Mine is a mid-19th century structure. It is built from coursed squared sandstone with brick ashlar dressings and stands approximately 20 meters tall. The chimney has straight sides and features a high plinth. The front wall includes a small round-headed opening, and there is a fat roll-moulding below the top cornice, which is capped with a blocking course.
