Description
This boundary stone, located about 100 metres east of the road to Stanhope on the parish boundary, dates from the early 19th century. It is made of sandstone and stands approximately half a metre high, featuring a rounded top. The letters "CT" are inscribed in large Roman capitals on the west face, while "DC" is inscribed on the east face. The "DC" may refer to the Dean and Chapter of Durham. The stone is positioned on the Edmondbyers side of the boundary with Hunstanworth.
