Description

The front garden walls and gatepiers belong to Startforth House, dating to the 18th century. The walls are constructed of roughly-squared stone with cut stone dressings, and have flat slab coping along the front and to the right of the garden. The front wall features rusticated gatepiers with moulded caps and ball finials on swept bases.
