Description
The gatepiers, gate, and wall to the front garden of Sheldon Manor date from the early 18th century and enclose three sides of the front garden. The garden wall is made of rubble stone and features coping, ramping up to two large ashlar gate piers topped with cornices and large ball finials. The early to mid-19th century iron gates, which have spearhead finials, were added around 1911. The front retaining wall includes sloping buttresses on the south side and five stone steps leading up to the gates.
