Description
Grove Rake Mine Lodging Shop is a mine lodging shop, likely built in the early 19th century. It features thin courses of squared sandstone with ashlar dressings and a stone-flagged roof. The building has two storeys and three wide bays. There are thin flat stone lintels above the door to the right of each bay and above the windows, which have flat stone sills. The low-pitched roof is topped with three ridge chimneys, one located at the left of each bay. At the time of the survey, the building was empty and in a state of dereliction. It is included in the register for its historic interest.
