Description
The arch of the former Lintzgarth smelt mill flue is a Grade II listed structure, added in 1802 to the original mill built in 1737. It is constructed from sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings. The arch is semicircular, with a radius of about 3 metres, and is approximately 3 metres thick. This arch is the only remaining part of the lead-smelting complex at Lintzgarth, which was developed by the Blackett-Beaumont Company for the extraction of silver.
