Description

Dene Lodge is a cottage from the early 19th century, built of squared sandstone rubble with a stone-flagged roof and stone chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and three bays. It features a slightly projecting central solid porch that has a boarded door and a sloping slab roof, with a blank bay above the porch. The original four-pane sash windows have been replaced but still have projecting sills. The roof has coped gables, and the end stacks have been rebuilt with top ledges and water tables. There is a lean-to addition on the left side, which is not considered of special interest.
