Description
Laburnum Cottage is a Grade II listed building originally constructed as two houses, which were converted into one dwelling in the late 20th century. The building dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century and features roughcast and painted masonry, a renewed pantiled roof, and rebuilt brick stacks.
The cottage is two stories high with a five-bay front. It has a four-panel door with a patterned four-pane overlight in a raised and moulded surround located in the second bay from the left, and an identical door and surround in the fourth bay from the left. The windows are 12-pane sashes set in raised surrounds with projecting sills. The low-pitched roof has slightly projecting eaves and coped gables with shaped kneelers, along with a left gable and ridge stacks, and a roughcast stack on the right gable.
At the rear, there is a two-story, two-bay addition that features similar window styles.
