Description
The Mill is a building that likely dates from the early 18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of limewashed rubble with ashlar dressings and features a pantiled roof with brick chimneys. The building has an L-plan layout.
On the south elevation, there are two storeys and three bays. To the right of the central bay, there is a door with two flat boarded panels beneath a flat stone lintel. The windows are sashes with glazing bars; the upper sections have three over six panes and feature projecting stone sills in the outer bays. There is also a six-light casement window to the left of the central bay on the first floor, which has a similar lintel. The roof is topped with banded end chimneys.
The left return of the building includes a long rear wing that houses the mill, which has a single chamfered stone surround to a blocked door and a blocked stone-mullioned window. The inner return at the rear reveals a low vaulted passage immediately behind the front range, which may have been used for an undershot water wheel.
The interior has not been inspected.
