Description

29 Stow Hill is a two-window house of Italianate style, dating to the 19th century. The exterior is stuccoed, with channelled detailing to the ground floor and vertical pilaster strips. The eaves are accentuated by brackets. The house is three storeys high. The upper floor windows have stucco architraves, while the first-floor windows are topped with bracketed pediments. Modern sash windows are fitted to the upper floors. A splayed bay window with a dentil cornice and four-pane sash windows is situated on the ground floor to the left, and a doorway with a bracketed cornice and a rectangular overlight leads to a 19th-century door with three broad panels on the right. Original gatepiers remain, topped with substantial classicising capstones.
