Description
Bethel Chapel is a building designed in the Decorated Gothic style, constructed from pennant stone with bathstone dressings. The elevation facing Stow Hill features a tower with a spire on the left. The bathstone spire includes lucarnes, while the tower is adorned with bathstone pinnacles and has a bell stage that contains two 2-light windows on each side. A Gothic doorway is also present. To the right of the tower, there is a bay with a 2-light Gothic window at the upper level and a two-light window with shouldered arches at the lower level. Further to the right, a projecting gabled bay showcases a 3-light Geometrical window above a window with three shouldered lights. Continuing right, a large gabled bay features a 5-light window with Geometrical tracery, situated above two windows with three shouldered lights. The basement has simpler mullioned windows. The elevation facing Wesley Place includes two doors with two trefoil windows between them, and above this, there is a tripartite window in the Decorated style, along with a small quatrefoil window above. To the left of this section, there is a block with a single doorway and a 2-light Geometrical window above.
