Description
Great House and Heron House is a two-storey building featuring a pink rendered façade with a three-window range on the left and exposed stone walling with a two-window range on the right. The structure has steep slate roofs and tall brick chimneys with stepped-out cornices. The main section includes two widely spaced 12-pane horned sash windows, while Heron House has modern uPVC glazing. On the ground floor, there is a similar window on the right and a doorway with a 19th-century door on the left. The Heron House doorway is located under a ramped cemented surround to the left of centre.
The left wall of Heron House features a corbelled out stone and rubble gable end chimney stack. The lower section on the right has two modern casements on the upper floor, a modern bow window, and a garage entrance on the ground floor. The inspected ground floor retains good chamfered beams.
