Description
White Lion House is a two-storey building constructed from local red sandstone and conglomerate random rubble, although the street front has been largely refaced with roughcast. Above the ground floor, the front features smooth render that imitates timber framing. The roof is made of concrete interlocking tiles and has red brick stacks. The layout is a single depth central entrance plan, with a late 20th-century rear wing and another lower wing to the left of unknown date. The left wing may be one and a half storeys high.
On the ground floor, there is a central door framed by a moulded stucco architrave. To the right of the door is a three-by-three pane casement that extends down to the plinth, while to the left is a modern casement with a higher cill. Both windows have stucco architraves with keyed heads. The upper floor features three windows, which are modern three-light casements with small panes. All these features date from the late 20th century. The roof has a steep pitch with gable ends and rebuilt stacks. The left wing is blind to the street, and the rear elevation was not inspected, except for a late 20th-century casement in the gable end of the added wing.
