Description

The Malt House Hotel is a building that is entirely roughcast rendered and features a Welsh slate roof with red ridge tiles. It consists of two sections, both two storeys high: the former house and the former coach house, which is set back in line to the left.

The house has a three-bay double depth central entry plan. It includes a panelled door with a plain fanlight and a tented porch supported by two cast iron columns. This entrance is flanked by plain 6 over 6 pane sash windows, with three additional sash windows on the floor above. The roof has a low pitch gable end design with gable stacks.

The former coach house features two wide flat arched openings on the ground floor, which were originally the coach house doors. These openings are now filled with tripartite small paned glazed screens that include a central door. Above, there are three plain 6 over 6 sash windows, which are likely a 1970s alteration, as they would not have been necessary for the hayloft. The coach house has a low pitch roof with a lower ridge line than the main house.

The rear elevation has not been seen.
