Description
The Tabernacle Chapel, which includes the Wroth Memorial Hall, is a single-storey building with rendered elevations and a gabled, slated roof. The south elevation features a central timber doorway that leads to the chapel at the eastern end. The chapel is illuminated on the south side by three large, steel-framed windows with small panes, while the north side has no windows. There is a second entrance on the eastern gable end, which has a modern door. At the western end is the Wroth Memorial Hall, marked by a circular cartouche with the date 1924 set within a pediment; this hall also has similar window glazing.
The south elevation is said to incorporate parts of an earlier 17th-century chapel. Inside, the 19th-century grained pine fittings include a gallery, pews, and a lectern, while the rest of the interior remains undecorated.
