Description

This is a railway viaduct constructed from squared rubble stone, featuring four round arches. The arches are adorned with cut stone voussoirs. There are three piers, each with two-step triangular cutwaters; the top step is chamfered back to a flat pier that is also stepped. A thin string course runs between the piers beneath a high parapet, which has a coping and top level that may have been reduced in height. The outer abutments are large and splayed, with similar raised piers. The structure includes significant iron strapping.
