Description
5 Maryport Street is part of a terrace of three late Georgian cottages located at Nos. 3-7 Maryport Street. The cottages are rendered, partially scored, and painted, featuring a slate roof with rendered cross ridge stacks. They are two storeys high and consist of three units, each with 12-pane horned sash windows set in reveals. The doorways have bracketed hoods above a continuous platband, along with overlights and a plinth. Number 3, on the left, is double fronted with a three-window range, and it has panelled reveals around the doorway and a four-panelled door. Numbers 5 and 7 have a single window range, with number 7 retaining a small-pane overlight. Both numbers 3 and 5 feature low nosed stone doorsteps.
