Description

The building, formerly livery and bait stables, is now part of the accommodation for The Three Salmons Hotel. It is constructed of stone that is roughly squared and coursed at the front, with painted rubble on the sides; the left end unit is rendered and painted. The roof is half-hipped and covered with slate. The structure has two storeys and features a five-window range on the main section, with three windows in the slightly projecting centre bay. The windows are small-pane casements, with tripartite arrangements on the sides and cambered-arched heads in the centre. The original stable and carriage entrances on the ground floor have been blocked and replaced with 20th-century casement windows. The left end unit includes a segmental arched former carriage entrance with a keystone, and there are stone steps leading up to the north end wall. The building has been converted into living accommodation.
