Description
The White Hart Public House is an inn with a late Georgian facade. It features a rendered and painted exterior in white and black, topped with a shallow-pitched part-hipped slate roof that has long and narrow cross-ridge brick stacks. The building has two storeys and a cellar. The windows are large and set back behind their moulded painted surrounds, with 12-pane sash windows on the upper floors, while the ground floor windows have been replaced. A painted plinth runs along the base. The main facade faces Bridge Street and includes a three-window range on the first floor. The ground floor has a central doorway with a six-panelled studded door, a single window to the right, and a pair of windows to the left. The main doorway, which features a shallow hood and moulded surround, is positioned at an angle, with a sash window above it. The elevation facing Maryport Street is longer and angled, featuring additional sash windows and, at the end, a two-window range made of painted stone raised in brick.
