Description

Pont-Kemys Farmhouse is a 17th-century building constructed from local rubblestone, though the walls are entirely painted. It features stone slate roofs on the front of the main block and the left wing, while the rear of the main block, the right wing, and the rear outshuts have natural slate roofs. The farmhouse has a single depth plan with a gable entry and stands two storeys high with a garret. It includes two windows and has single-storey, single-window wings on either side. A notable feature is the fine 4-centred head plank door located in the right gable. The roof is plain and steeply pitched, with rebuilt red brick stacks at both gables. The left wing has a 3-light casement window and a door with a 4-centred head, along with a steeply pitched roof and a stone stack at the gable. Most joinery features, except for the gable entry, date from the late 20th century. The right return of the main block has a small 2-light window in the garret. The rear elevation is only partially visible, with the left side of the main block almost entirely covered by a lean-to out-shut. There is a small central window and a larger window to the right on the first floor.

The interior details were not available during the resurvey. However, the 1956 list description noted the presence of Tudor door-heads, an angular-headed recess in the bedroom fireplace, and spiral oak stairs.
