Description
Queenfield Farmhouse is a late 17th-century farmhouse constructed of rubblestone with a stone slate roof and ashlar stacks. It has a T-shaped plan and consists of two storeys and an attic, featuring a two-window front. The entrance is located within a mid-19th-century wing that projects from the front of the original 17th-century house. To the right of the door is a 12-pane sash window, and there are two 12-pane sashes on the first floor. The same style of sashes is present on the gable end. To the left of the wing, there is a 3-light chamfered mullioned window, with a 3-light ovolo-mullioned window above it on the first floor. The right side of the wing has a lean-to extension that includes re-used 2-light ovolo-mullioned windows and a pantiled roof.
On the rear left side of the 17th-century range, there are two blocked single-light ovolo-moulded window cases on the first floor and one in the attic. The ground floor features a mix of 3-light, 4-light with a king mullion, and 3-light ovolo-mullioned windows, some with drip moulds, while the upper floor has similar windows without drip moulds. The attic gable includes a 2-light ovolo-mullioned window. The interior has been altered and does not retain any original fireplaces.
