Description

Mead Farmhouse is a house built in the early to mid 19th century. It features an ashlar front and a low-pitched slate roof with coped gables and end stacks. The building is two storeys high and has a three-window front, with raised strips at the corners, a plinth, a band, and an eaves band. The windows include sixteen-pane outer sashes and a twelve-pane centre sash with margin lights. The central doorway is arched and has a moulded flush surround, a six-panel door with Regency-style reeding on the lower panels, and a traceried fanlight above. There is also an arched stair light in the centre of the rear wall. To the right, there is a two-storey, two-window extension that is not of special interest.
