Description

Queenfield Farmhouse is a brick farmhouse dating from the mid to late 18th century. It has ashlar quoins and a Welsh slate roof with coped verges and saddlestones, along with brick stacks at the rear. The building is arranged in a "T" shape. The symmetrical front elevation, facing north, is two storeys high and has three windows. A central doorway is topped by a flat stone hood supported on brackets. Flanking the door are two 12-pane sash windows. Above these are three further 12-pane sash windows, all set in plain stone surrounds. The left-hand return side has one 12-pane sash window on both the ground and first floors, and a two-light beaded mullion window in the attic. The right-hand return is similarly designed. A two-storey wing extends to the rear, having a stone slate roof and windows that are two-light, beaded mullioned. A lean-to extension is built onto the gable of this wing, with a two-light, beaded mullioned window in the attic gable. The interior is reported to have been altered.
