Description

Kemeys Cottage is an end cottage in a row, built with roughcast and featuring a slate roof and a small stone stack at the south end. The cottage is two storeys high and has two windows from around 1968 above the eaves, consisting of one triple casement and one paired casement. On the ground floor, there is a similar triple casement window on the left and a 20th-century door to the right of centre, which is set within a 20th-century porch. The upper floor on the right oversails the recessed porch of the adjacent No 2, Templar Cottage. The rear of the cottage was originally a single storey with a gable to the left, which has been built up to two storeys.

Kemeys Cottage underwent alterations in 1968. Inside, there is one room and a passage to the north from the door. A modern staircase at the end of the passage is said to have replaced stairs that were located next to the fireplace at the south end. Before the 1968 alterations, the cottage is said to have had a timber-framed partition. The main room features three beams, one of which is chamfered with a stepped curved stop.
