Description

This is a terrace of Regency-era houses, built in the early 19th century. The range includes numbers 2 to 11 Mount Pleasant and number 14 Steep Street, stepped down a hillside. The walls are rendered, and the roofs are slate, with narrow end stacks topped with slate pots. The houses have a double-pile plan, and a rear elevation facing Steep Street extends the range further. They are generally three storeys high, with two-window fronts. Most windows are sash windows set in reveals, although some have been replaced with casements. A number of doorways are semi-circular. Number 6 Mount Pleasant has a roughcast render finish, plastic casement windows, a single window range, and a six-panelled door with radial glazing to the fanlight.
