Description

The War Memorial is constructed of finely jointed sandstone ashlar. It has four sides, each featuring a moulded gable or pediment engraved with a crest: the Red Dragon, the Welsh, the Royal Arms, and the Welsh Arms. The gables have heavy coping, are swept at the base to form waterspouts, and are supported by square attached piers. The memorial has a heavily ridged stone roof topped with an unmoulded stone cross. The inscription panels are set in deep recesses with splayed reveals and are accessed by three steps. The ground plan is a four-apsed rectangle that is flush with the surrounding area.
