Description
Nos 14-20 (even) Hereford Road are two-storey and attic buildings with a double depth plan, featuring rendered and painted fronts, except for No. 20, which reveals random sandstone rubble. The rear elevations are partly weatherboarded, and the roofs have modern interlocking tiles on the front slope and part pantiles on the rear. The buildings have eight windows in total, fitted with 2 over 2 pane sashes. The paired doors are of Victorian design, consisting of four panels with two glazed panels and shared hoods. The steeply pitched roof includes four small dormers with sloping roofs, each containing 2 + 2 pane casements. There is a gable stack on No. 20, a shared stack between Nos. 16 and 18, while the stack for No. 14 appears to have been removed. The rear elevation features a single-storey pentice, weatherboarded above, with one window each, all of which are 20th century. The interior was not seen during the resurvey.
