Description
8 Hereford Road is part of a row of buildings, numbered 6 to 10, that date from the 19th century. The fronts are rendered, likely over brick, and topped with Welsh slate roofs. The buildings have a double depth plan, with the entrance to Nos. 6 and 10 on the right side and to No. 8 on the left. They rise three storeys high, with two windows on No. 6 and one window each on Nos. 8 and 10. There are shared hoods over the paired doorways at Nos. 2 with 4 and Nos. 8 and 10. The doors consist of six panels at Nos. 6, 8, and 10, while No. 2 has a plank door. The windows are 2 over 2 pane sashes set in recessed segmental openings, with the top floor windows being smaller. The roof has a moderate pitch and features red brick ridge stacks. The rear elevation has not been seen, and the interior was not observed during the resurvey.
