Description

The outer wall of Abergavenny Castle is made of red sandstone rubble and features a cock-and-hen coping. It runs along the edge of a steep bank below the castle, enclosing its grounds. The wall is approximately 2 meters high on the inner face, but its height varies significantly on the outer face. It connects to the Gateway at the Castle Lodge.
